Senator JD Vance and Wife Usha Welcome Fourth Child, Son Alec Neel Vance

Senator JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, shared news of the arrival of their fourth child on Sunday, a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance.

The couple made the announcement through a joint Instagram post, confirming that their son was born Sunday morning.

We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.

The Vances also extended their appreciation to the dedicated military medical professionals at Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit for their exceptional care and support.

The incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit have been a blessing. We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family.

A Growing Family

Earlier this year, the Vances had publicly confirmed they were anticipating their fourth child. In a statement released on social media in January, they shared their excitement.

Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.

JD and Usha Vance first met while pursuing their legal education at Yale Law School and exchanged vows in 2014. They are also parents to two older sons, Ewan and Vivek, and a daughter, Mirabel.

Their three elder children garnered public attention last year when they attended the Inauguration Day swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, followed by the associated parade held at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
